For the second year in a row, Seekers is proud to unveil the new Sight Ceramics exhibition right in the Seekers practice. In celebration of Melbourne Design Week (18th-28th May), Seekers will be hosting the master crafted ceramic works of Rukaiya throughout our practice.
Sight Ceramics was launched in 2019 by the talented Sydney ceramicist Rukaiya. Explore the world of handmade textured ceramics that support the visually impaired with Sight Ceramics. Her functional ceramics aim to raise awareness about visual impairment, with all proceeds donated equally between two not-for-profit organisations; Sight for All and Next Sense. The designs celebrate the tactile ways we connect with our environment.
Seekers are excited to be participating in Melbourne Design Week again, with our practice becoming an exhibition space during our opening hours between 10am and 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday. The annual program celebrates all things design with exhibitions, talks, tours, installations and workshops in Melbourne, the design capital of Australia.
The vast world of design encompasses a diverse range of influences. Over the course of Melbourne Design Week, the Sight Ceramics exhibit will be infused with our master crafted eyewear gallery, celebrating the coming together of fashion and design from all over the world and across two very different creative mediums.
