That’s a wrap on Melbourne Design Week at Seekers. For the second year in a row, Seekers hosted Sight Ceramics at our Fitzroy practice. The event brought design professionals and enthusiasts from all over Melbourne, and the world to Seekers to learn and celebrate the incredible work of Sight Ceramics.
Sight Ceramics was launched in 2019 by the talented Sydney ceramicist Rukaiya. Explore the world of handmade textured ceramics that support the visually impaired with Sight Ceramics. Their functional ceramics aim to raise awareness about visual impairment.
It was an honour to showcase the master crafted creations of Sight Ceramics again this year. Seekers have always been about exploring the beauty of design and craft in all creative mediums. For those that missed out on the exhibition, our practice became a fusion gallery of eyewear and ceramic design. We look forward to next year and the opportunity to take part in the diverse world of design again.
A friendly reminder that most of the ceramic pieces featured in the Seekers practice are for sale and Sight Ceramics donates all proceeds equally between two not-for-profit organisations; Sight for All and Next Sense. The designs celebrate the tactile ways we connect with our environment. To own one of these master crafted pieces visit sightceramics.com
