Sustainability isn’t a side project at Seekers – it’s baked into how we operate. We partner with Spexcycle, Australia’s circular eyewear program, to tackle the mountain of optical waste most people don’t realise exists.
As such, we are excited to announce the arrival of Objekt Eyewear to the Seekers collection – the tangible result of our closed-loop recycling partnership with Spexcycle, handcrafted from the very eyewear you have returned to our practice.
From Donation to Design
For those who've been part of our Seekers Impacts program, you've seen firsthand how we're working to make the optical industry more sustainable. Through our partnership with Spexcycle, old prescription glasses, sunglasses, and frames dropped off at Seekers and other participating Optometry practices across Australia are given a new purpose. Now, the arrival of Objekt Eyewear at Seekers completes the circle.
Spexcycle has transformed donated frames into a limited collection of 12 unique frames – each one handmade in Australia, and no two alike. These are circular eyewear in the truest sense: eyewear that comes from eyewear, designed to reduce waste and reimagine what's possible when we rethink disposal.
What Makes Objekt Special
Keep the Cycle Going
The arrival of Objekt Eyewear marks a milestone, but our recycling program continues. Keep bringing your old prescription glasses, sunglasses, and optical frames (with or without lenses) to Seekers. Together, we are proving that optical waste doesn't have to be waste at all – it can be the beginning of something beautiful.
