At Seekers, we are dedicated to giving back to our community. Through our Seekers Supports program, our valued customers help us to select a charity to receive a $1,000 donation each quarter.
We are excited to announce that this quarter’s chosen organisation is the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
The Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) is a not-for-profit aeromedical organisation that provides emergency medical and primary health care services to people living in rural, remote, and regional areas of Australia. Established in 1928 by Reverend John Flynn, the RFDS was created to overcome the vast distances and limited access to health care faced by isolated communities. Today, it operates a fleet of specially equipped aircraft and a network of health clinics, delivering essential medical care to some of the most remote parts of the country.
The RFDS offers a wide range of services, including 24/7 emergency evacuations, fly-in fly-out GP and nurse clinics, dental care, mental health support, and telehealth consultations. Their work ensures that Australians in remote locations can access high-quality health care comparable to those in urban centres. In addition to treating illness and injury, the RFDS focuses on preventive health and community education, playing a vital role in bridging the health gap for people living far from traditional services.
