In the Community: Celebrating B Corp Month is our ongoing series showcasing the B Corp businesses we're proud to stand alongside. This March, as part of Wine & Vinyl Fridays, we're heading north to the Northern Rivers of NSW– to a brewery that has had community at its core since day one.
Some businesses discover their values over time. Stone & Wood were born with theirs.
Founded in the Northern Rivers of NSW in 2008 by three friends, Stone & Wood has always believed that beer can be a force for good – and community connection has been at the core of the business since day one. Their B Corp certification, first achieved in November 2016, formalised what was already embedded in how they operate.
B Corp has acknowledged Stone & Wood's strong performance in community and supply chain management. In 2018, the brewery established the inGrained Foundation to support grassroots social and environmental charities across the Northern Rivers and Brisbane regions, with over $2,800,000 donated to not-for-profits since inception.
Stone & Wood improved their B Corp score at their last recertification, with strong results in the environment category.
A Northern Rivers brewery that keeps its values as fresh as its beer.
